Digital literacy for older adults

Helping older adults use technology with confidence.

TechOra Atlanta gives older adults patient, one-on-one help with the technology that runs everyday life — so they can connect with family, stay safe online, and keep their independence.

Patient. Personal. Practical.

What We Do

Three simple ways we bring technology within reach.

Concierge Tech Support

One-on-one help wherever a client feels most comfortable — real answers to real questions, at their own pace.

Community Outreach

Workshops and partnerships with community centers, libraries, and faith communities — meeting people where they already gather.

Technology Setup

Phones, tablets, and computers set up and ready — accounts, apps, and accessibility settings like larger text and louder sound.

Who We Are

TechOra Atlanta helps older adults across metro Atlanta feel at home with everyday technology.

We learn by doing — hands-on, one-on-one support, real practice on your own device, and small-group workshops that build lasting confidence.

Our Curriculum

A simple, step-by-step path from first touch to real confidence.

1 Getting comfortable with your device+
Powering on, charging, navigating the screen, and sizing text and sound — real ease with the device itself.
2 Staying connected with family+
Calls, texts, video chats, and photos — the tools that keep loved ones close.
3 Online safety & scam awareness+
Strong passwords, spotting scams, and browsing safely — protection from the fraud that targets older adults.
4 Everyday tasks online+
Email, telehealth, banking, and government services — the essentials of everyday independence.
5 Getting comfortable with AI — gently New+
A friendly, optional introduction to AI as a simple "someone to ask" — always guided, with safe habits taught alongside. We'll grow this as the program does.
6 Choose Your Own Learning+
Something specific in mind? Pick any of the topics above, mix and match, or simply tell us what you'd like to learn — we'll build the visit around it and come prepared.

The curriculum grows with our learners — modules are added and refined as the program develops.

How We Teach

The way we teach matters as much as what we teach.

  • One-on-one and small-group lessons
  • Plain, everyday language — never jargon
  • In familiar, comfortable places
  • Take-home guides to practice between visits
  • In-home visits, plus remote help by phone or video

Our Promise

We build lasting confidence, not quick fixes — so the skills stay long after the session ends.

Bring TechOra to Your Community
From the Founder

After years spent working with an older clientele — and now helping care for my own aging father — I kept noticing how easily older adults get left behind as everyday life moves online. It's rarely that they can't learn; it's that no one slows down to show them. I started TechOra Atlanta to change that: to help older adults keep up with a fast-moving world on their own terms, with patience and respect, so they feel included rather than shut out.
